This has been a heartbreaking week for my Southern California community. We have all been watching the news in horror in response to the recent Borderline Thousand Oaks shooting followed by the devastating Camp fire up north and Woolsey and Hill fires in southern California. Although it’s important to stay informed, please step away from TV today to nurture yourself. The news will wait but your stress will linger. Most importantly, shield your children from the media. Kids are very vulnerable as well. Here’s an article we wrote the shows that repeated media exposure can create PTSD symptoms. Please take care of yourselves and your family.
